About us
The crew behind the dry yard
We move the water. Jacksonville yards, dry again.
Free yard inspection within 48 hours · written price before we dig
Armadillo Drainage Solutions is an independent, insured drainage crew based in Mandarin, serving Duval, St. Johns and Clay counties — from Southside and the beaches to Fruit Cove, Nocatee, Fleming Island, Orange Park and St. Augustine. We fix water on the lot: French drains, downspout drainage, catch basins, regrading and dry wells, plus the pavers and gutters that are part of the same chain.
Northeast Florida is sand over hardpan with a high water table and storms that drop 2 to 4 inches at a time. Most yard flooding here is not a mystery; it is roof water dumped at the wall and lots graded for the builder. We start every job with the cheapest fix that actually works, and we only send water where it is legal — never onto your neighbor.
Florida does not require a state license for drainage, paver or gutter work, so we hold ourselves to the parts that matter: general liability insurance, NDS drainage training, permits pulled when a system ties into a street, easement or waterway, and a written price before we dig.
What we don't claim
We do not claim to be the biggest or the cheapest drainage company in Jacksonville, and we do not invent review counts or years in business. We claim a free inspection within 48 hours, a written plan with the outlet marked, a lawn put back after the trench and a labor warranty in writing.
Why an armadillo?
The nine-banded armadillo is as Florida as the afternoon storm. It digs — that is what it does best — and it carries its own armor. We dig trenches for a living, and our job is to be the shell between your house and the water. Low to the ground, always working, never in a hurry to leave before the job is done.
Why homeowners call Armadillo
Free inspection in 48 hours
We walk the yard, find where the water comes from and where it can legally go, and write it down.
The cheapest fix first
Downspouts and grading are checked before anyone mentions a French drain. Many yards need less than they fear.
Built for Florida ground
Sand over hardpan, a high water table and 2–4 inch storms. Systems sized for that, not for a drizzle.
Never onto your neighbor
Water goes to the street, a swale or a dry well on your lot — the discharge point is on the plan you sign.
Lawn put back
Trenches backfilled, compacted and re-sodded. You should have to look for where we dug.
One crew for water and pavers
Drainage, pavers and gutters are one chain. The same crew does all of it, so nothing is fixed in a way that breaks the next link.
The Armadillo promise
Four things you get on every job.
Free inspection in 48 hours
Call or send a photo of the puddle — we walk the yard within two days and sketch the plan.
Written price before we dig
Materials, outlet and price on paper. Nothing starts until you approve it.
Never onto your neighbor
Water routed to the street, a dry well or a swale on your lot — the outlet is marked on the plan.
Labor warranty in writing
Our workmanship is covered and the terms are printed on your estimate, not promised on the phone.
