How do you keep pavers from sinking?
A compacted base, full joints, a sound edge restraint and no standing water. Most sinking we see traces to one of those four, and the last one is a drainage fix rather than a paver fix.
Does sealing pavers stop weeds?
It helps a lot. Polymeric sand fills and hardens the joints so seeds have little to root in, and the sealer locks the top of the joint. Shaded, damp areas under pines still need an occasional clean.
